The Elmhurst Artists’ Guild (EAG) is sponsoring a juried art exhibition: Honoring Hokusai in our gallery located in the Elmhurst Art Museum. This call for art is inspired by the Cleve Carney Museum of Art at the College of DuPage 2025 Summer exhibition: HOKUSAI & UKIYO-E | The Floating World.
Origami Scavenger Hunt
Get ready for another fun scavenger hunt that will be fun for the whole family. In celebration of the Cleve Carney Museum of Art HOKUSAI's exhibition at the partnership with the Bookstore of Glen Ellyn, and the Glen Ellyn Public Library, participate in the Origami Summer Scavenger Hunt. For the entire months of June and July, challenge yourself to find all these beautiful origami art pieces downtown to complete your scavenger hunt card for a prize and join us for the wrap-up party hosted by the library!

Visit the Downtown Lisle Businesses Listed Below and receive a stamp at 12 of the 15 Downtown Lisle businesses listed on the passport. Once you visit 12 of the businesses drop off passport to the Lisle Area Chamber of Commerce at 925 Burlington Avenue, Lisle (Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm) or DPG Real Estate Agency at 4742 Main Street, Lisle (Drop Off in Mail Slot) to be entered in a drawing for 1 gift basket value up to $500 of gift certificates donated by the participating Downtown Lisle businesses. The gift basket will also include 2 tickets to the Hokusai Exhibit at the MAC at College of DuPage.

"The Story of Manga" College of DuPage Library Exhibit

In support of the Hokusai & Ukiyo-e exhibition, the COD Library has designed an exhibit that traces the evolution of manga. From its early artistic roots to its present-day global influence, this exhibit tells the captivating story of manga. The exhibit features a timeline from Hokusai to modern manga and features an interactive "make-your-own manga" station. The exhibit is open through August 2025.
