Preparator

The Cleve Carney Museum of Art is searching for a preparator to join our team!

Working with the exhibitions team, the preparator will assist in the installation of exhibits at the museum.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist with fabrication, assembly, installation, dismantling, and/or moving of exhibit properties

• Art/object handling and transport within the museum

• Painting, hanging, installing vinyl and other exhibit elements

Qualifications:

• A high school diploma or equivalent

• At least one year experience in a museum, shop, or gallery required

• Able to lift 50 pounds

• Proficiency in the use of hand and power tools

• Expertise in woodworking a plus

• Must be able to stand for long periods of time; walking is also required

This is a temporary contract position.
